Last year, the EUROCITIES working group on homelessness organised a study visit in Lisbon. The study visit gave the city the opportunity to showcase two examples of its Housing First projects and encouraged mutual learning between local authorities.
Housing First enables homeless people to move into individual, independent and permanent accommodation straight away, rather than offering them different temporary housing (such as shelters or other transitional accommodation).
We were tasked with the development of an infographic to explain the Housing First Project, its benefits and impact on the city’s homelessness system as a whole. We decided to focus on the results of the two showcases: Casa Primeiro and É UMA CASA.
